Director of Voice Ghana receives prestigious award

Big congratulations go to Mr. Francis Asong, Director of Voice of People with Disability Ghana (VOICE GHANA) for becoming the Continental Winner at the CEO Global Titans – Nations Building 2015 Awards. The award is in recognition of his contribution to the Welfare and Civil Society Sector in Africa. The award ceremony was held on 10th November, 2015 at the Gallagher Convention Centre, in Midrand, South Africa. Mr. Asong earlier won this award at the Ghana Country and West Africa levels, which was held in Accra on 6th October, 2015.



Titans – Building Nations (www.titans-building-nations.co.za) is a recognition programme for the powerful men in Africa. The organisation aims to bring to the forefront the unmistakeable prowess of the men shifting the African landscape for the purpose of sustainable growth and on-going development of their nations.  Thus, Titan – Building Nations awards is in recognition of the significant role men play in the sustainable development and growth of the Africa continent. The awards cover all economic sectors – i.e. from Businessmen, Civil Society Activists, and to Government Leaders across Africa.

 

Mr. Asong dedicated the award to the marginalised and socially excluded people in Africa, especially persons with disabilities. He said “this award will undoubtedly strengthen and motivate me and my team to be more committed in improving the socio-economic lives of people with disabilities at the grassroots, to take charge of their lives and to achieve their true potentials”.
